The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife is a fantasy short with a mythological flavour. A prince, a queen who appears in his visions and a king who could never satisfy her.

The plot of The Gods Gave Me My Father's Wife, minus the ending

Prince Theron returns home to meet his father's new wife, Queen Lysandra, and recognises her: she is the woman who has haunted his dreams. She has dreamed of him too.

The shared visions draw them into a forbidden affair. They are caught and banished, and then the story takes a strange turn when the king offers his son both the queen and the crown.

Opening chapter: the homecoming

The opener is the prince's return and the recognition. The visions are the thread that ties the two together from the start.

Locked chapters 3–5: caught, banished, crowned

The locked episodes cover the affair, its discovery and the king's surprising response.
